Throughout his career as a p***ographer and a teacher of p***ography, John Hedgecoe maintained a close friendship with Henry Moore Moore (1898-1986) recognised Hedgecoe's ability to capture the essence of his work in p***ographs, while Hedgecoe in turn developed an intense admiration for Moore and his work, and became a regular visitor to the sculptor's studios for over thirty years.
